Big Chicken Festival is an invitation to participate in HenHouse’s biggest, hoppiest, most hyped release of the year!
What’s Big Chicken?
Our once-a-year experiment in freshness and a study in hop excess takes everything that we’ve learned about making hoppy beer in a year to brew an over-the-top Double IPA. Then we keg and can an entire batch of Big Chicken the day it’s available!
Big Chicken is an opportunity for HenHouse to do something no one else can, while simultaneously getting the beer-drinking public super-hyped on fresh beer!

- Will there be cans?
Yes, we will have Big Chicken 16oz 4-packs! But they sell very fast. 4-packs of Big Chicken are sold exclusively at our Santa Rosa Brewery Tasting Room, Petaluma Palace Of Barrels & The Novato Record Room. Each location will have a daily allotment from 2/21-3/1, thereafter it is unlikely any cans will be available.
- How can I find Big Chicken on draft at my favorite bars and restaurants?
Big Chicken 2026 will be poured at approximately 500 locations across the Bay Area and beyond. A full list of bars and restaurants will be published on HenHouse’s social media one week prior to the day of delivery in that geographical area. We’re absolutely stoked that our 2026 recipe is a big, plush, juicy, Hazy Double IPA! A return to Big Chicken’s roots, it’s been a while since Big Chicken was hazy and this year’s recipe is superbly delicious, featuring one of our favorite new hop discoveries this year, Dolcita, alongside our mainstays Simcoe, Belma, and Citra.
