Frozen Envelope
As we all know, the NBA rigged its 1985 Draft Lottery so that Patrick Ewing would land with the New York Knicks. But how do you rig a draft that will be televised? How do you mark an envelope that cameras will see? Can TV cameras see cold? Wouldn’t the person handling the envelopes notice a strange, ice-cold envelope? What if the person handling envelopes was an accountant whose firm was employed by both the Knicks AND the NBA? Would that accountant (serving a power above Stern?) intentionally damage one corner of the envelope to assist the Commissioner with his “random” selection? Is it at all strange that Knicks exec Dave DeBusschere arrived at the draft with Knicks jersey that had “Ewing” on the back and the number 33, the highest degree in Freemasonry? The information is all out there, I’m just asking the questions.
